You mean it's not the reboot/remake feature of the Jon-Erik Hexum tv show?

Meh. I like Sheridan and Colin Farrell well enough but this looks like Passengers: 90210. Not particularly interested in seeing high school raves in space.

"If you'd like to learn more about (insert historical figure) take a voyage down to your public library. It's all in books."
I didn't read up on this beforehand so it took me a little while to figure out it was Lord of the Flies. While they use different character names, this time in addition to "Piggy", "Ralph" also gets Johnny Depp's daughter (a character who takes part of Simon and Piggy's role). There's a "Jack" and a "Roger" and two characters more or less standing in for the twins. It's mildly entertaining at times, but you know where the story is going.
William Golding received no onscreen credit.

^^^ Besides him
Did anyone go out and see this? It's gotten absolutely no buzz at all and has made no money at all. A huge bomb for Lionsgate. It's been out for only 10 days.
I thought about seeing this, but changed my mind when I saw the really bad RT score and the fact that no one is talking about this movie at all. I decided to save my money.

I rented this from Redbox yesterday. It's basically Lord of the Flies in space. Pretty dull overall. I know it's not really the same kind of movie, but I enjoyed Passengers much more.
I didn't really care for the young actors. Most of them were pretty dull, especially Sheridan and Depp. Colin Farrell is only in the movie for about 30 minutes. There wasn't much space sequences either. Just the characters going mad in the sardine can.
