Interesting, that is Andra Day's first acting part (she appeared as a singer in Marshall and did voice work in Cars 3, which I saw but immediately forgot). She's best known for this song, featured in Marshall.

I watched this tonight. Great performance but the movie just feels like a slog to get through.

Yeah, Audra Day was phenomenal but the movie was okay.

What a great lead performance. Really hard to believe that this was Day's first film. I wish the rest of the movie was as good. It just didn't come together and then really seemed to narratively fall apart.

To echo the last three posts, another stellar performance in an otherwise pretty awful film. Just like the "The Iron Lady". And to some extent, "Bohemian Rhapsody".
