Not sure yet. Local cinema is doing a secret sneak preview of an upcoming horror flick.

Seeing as how last year I didn't get a single tricker-treater on Halloween, I highly doubt there will be any this year, so I'll probably start a horror movie marathon around 5:00 PM, seeing as that's generally when it has started getting dark around here. As tradition stands, John Carpenter's The Thing (1982) and Dario Argento's Suspiria (1977) are kind of staples; I watch them pretty much every Halloween. Then I'll probably throw in John Carpenter's The Fog (1980) and then something more current...probably The Guest or You're Next. It's really too bad cause the weather up here is actually very seasonable (and actually pretty warm, for that matter) and in the absence of the pandemic, there'd probably be a decent amount of tricker-treaters out there. But oh well...I'd prefer to just chill on the couch tomorrow as opposed to have to continually run downstairs to answer the door...If anything, I might just leave a bowl of candy on the front porch...But only if I think that's even worth it...

I also usually check out a least 3-4 old-school Simpsons "Treehouse of Horror" episodes. And occasionally one or two Halloween episodes from Home Improvement, some of which were actually pretty funny, at least early on.

Gotta work tonight. Probably won't feel like a movie once I get home. I'll probably watch It's the Great Pumpkin, since I just got the 4k Peanuts collection.

Halloween(1978) on the big screen tonight.

My plan in October is always to watch whatever the DVDTalk community is watching in the DVDTalk Horror Challenge. Today’s choices are Halloween 4, and a Celtic/Samhain film.

Watching the first 3 Halloween movies this morning.

Been watching horror movies all week. "28 Days Later", "28 Weeks Later", "The Wolfman" (2010), "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" (1978) and "The Invasion". Probably watching "The Exorcist" tonight. It's been about 2-3 years since I last saw it.

Probably a few Sean Connery movies.

At midnight I will put on Rocky Horror Picture Show like I do every year.

My 13 year old daughter wants to watch a scary movie tonight, and she’s pretty timid, so no Jason or Freddy yet. Thinking Poltergeist.

AMC has been showing the Halloween movies since yesterday but for some reason aren't showing Halloween 2 or 3. I could understand not showing 3, but what reason would they have for not showing 2? I actually wanted to watch that one again. They're also not showing the Rob Zombie movies. I still have Zombie's Halloween 2 on the DVR from last year but hear it's terrible. It's the only one I haven't seen now.

Im busy at the moment passing out cans of pop along with candy bars to kids right now for trick or treating.

when that dies down later, i have two horror movies to watch later tonight

old Poltergeist

Intruder 1989. Just popped it on Full Moon Streaming. 80s horror movie that actually has Sam Raimi acting. Some girl named Elizabeth Cox is the lead. It’s about a killer terrorizing the overnight stocking crew at a market. Perfect for tonight, 80s horror and something I’ve never seen.

Probably just going to watch some random stuff.

The kiddo really liked Poltergeist.

Now watching the LiveStream Rocky Horror Picture Show put on by the Wisconsin Dems. It's pretty good, but I'm scared Tim Curry is going to pass away before it's over.

Turns out it was The Dark and the Wicked. It was sufficiently creepy and unsettling, though this kind of horror flick (without giving too much away) isn't really my jam. Still, I'd recommend it. It's a slow burn with some solid acting from all involved.

Night of the Creeps (1986). It's such an underrated gem. It's so well paced and shot. The humor blends in impeccably with the horror. If you've never seen it, you should give it a spin!

2 and 3 are Universal releases. It probably wouldn’t be apart of whatever deals AMC has.

FYI, the Great Pumpkin didn't show again this year. Poor Linus.

We watched Peninsula (Train to Busan 2) in the afternoon and then watched Halloween (1978) outside by the fire at night.

Not a single trick-or-treater last night. Back home my wife said they were out in droves. She ran out of stuff by 6pm and ran to the store.

My flat mates were a little late to get started on the night. I watched the first two episodes of Monsterland on Hulu, then we did Ready or Not and The Lodge.

​​​​We wanted to watch The Babadook but sadly it seems to be gone from all our streaming services. I’ve got to say I was really disappointed with the selection between Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and some freebies.

I watched "Trick 'R' Treat" -The Scream Factory Collector's Edition. It's a surprisingly lush and colorful for an unreleased Horror film. It's a lower-budgeted film but they got a lot of bang for the buck. It's a good package. Followed that up with The Last Starfighter (Arrow BD), which isn't very "Halloween-ish", but I hadn't seen it since the VHS days, so....

I started watching Hereditary but switched after a few minutes because it seemed too long.

Then watched the new version of The Witches and The Brood for the first time, both on HBO Max.

Then watched Eli's Roth's History of Horror episode on witches. They covered the original version of The Witches which looks like it is a better movie than the new one. They also spoiled Hereditary for me.

We do Cloverfield every year, but added IT (2017) as a movie before it.
