Hi,
Excuse me for the newbie question but what's the deal with the Refer a friend stuff?
What's holding me from creating a hotmail account give AMZN the address as referer and use the 5$ and then get 5$ more for using the first GC???
Didn't they think of that, or am I missing something...

Their rules say to not refer yourself.
They also may check the addresses to see if they are the same.
Otherwise, it's based on your moral decisions... (i.e. if you want to use multiple names and addresses and multiple e-mails, but it's still you... then we're talking about how you feel about bending the rules to your benefit.)
