The Vampire Diaries (S6E10) -- "Christmas Through Your Eyes" -- 12/11/14

ALL ALONE ON CHRISTMAS - With the holidays approaching, Bonnie (Kat Graham) attempts to replicate her favorite traditions, while reminiscing about happier times with her friends. Not able to return home to Mystic Falls for her favorite time of the year, Caroline (Candice Accola) is surprised when Sheriff Forbes (guest star Marguerite MacIntyre) brings the holidays to her at Whitmore College. Meanwhile, after discovering that Jo (guest star Jodi Lyn O'Keefe) has gone missing, Alaric (Matt Davis) turns to Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) for help, while Liv (guest star Penelope Mitchell) and Luke (guest star Chris Brochu) find themselves at odds when Tyler (Michael Trevino) approaches them with a risky plan. Elsewhere, Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) helps Matt (Zach Roerig) carry out a plan to take down Enzo (Michael Malarkey) but grows concerned when Matt takes things too far. Lastly, Stefan (Paul Wesley) is forced to break some devastating news to Caroline. Michael Allowitz directed the episode written by Caroline Dries (#610). Original airdate 12/11/2014.

I don't know, I was expecting more deaths from this episode. This show has a serious problem now with dragging out storylines past their expiration date. So Elena is still mindwiped, but quickly falling back in love with Damon? Okay...

Okay, so.....vampire blood can heal magic death, huge holes in your body yet not cancer because no one has heard of it yet? Yeah, because most vampires go around healing humans. And not even try? Now that was stupid.

Something like cancer on this show is meaningless, because she can always be turned into a vampire and given a daylight ring. There are literally no downsides to being a vampire in this fictional universe.

I thought of that as well. Makes me wonder why they are even worried.

Well there's the blood lust thing. Bagged blooded is not always available. Alaric really hated his life as a vampire and he was virtually an Original. If you have a conscience those killings can have a toll. Plus when you die, there's no heaven for supernatural creatures. If you are going to a supernatural in this university hybrid is the way to go.

I wouldn't be surprised if Caroline's mom gets turned. Her father decided not to become a vampire. I can see them going the vampire route with the mom. Maybe if she is turned, she turns into a vigilante type and kills criminals. I also agree with other posters, the part about vampire blood healing various things, but not cancer is stupid. I remember True Blood touched on vampire blood healing anything, but I remember it was always kept on the down low.
