DeepDiscount - removes wishlist, accounts inaccessible?
The supposedly "updated" site no longer recognizes my email or password, and the password reset just gives me error messages. And there is no wishlist button anymore.
I tried using Chrome, Explorer, Safari, etc. but the same errors appear. I tried emailing customer service a few days ago, but no answer yet.

You should get an email like this when you attempt to log-in with your old credentials:
Hello Phantom Stranger,
We have migrated your account to the new DeepDiscount website.
For security purposes, please set your password for this migrated account.
It looks like Deepdiscount has nuked everyone's old account info. My entire order history is now gone from the website, even after changing the password. In fact, everything is gone except the email address.

Yeah I had to change my password on one of my accounts and noticed the order history is gone. Hopefully that is only temporary and everything will eventually be migrated over.

Yup, got this email, and the error message appeared. Tried again, same thing. They still haven't replied to my email. DeepDiscount just doesn't seem to want their customers to come back.

I got the e-mail too. I can live without my order history and wish list, but it's inconvenient and disappointing. I definitely won't be placing any more orders unless/until they restore the wish list.

Personally, I'm glad to shed that cumbersome wish list! They only let you delete items individually, no 'Delete All', and their site took forever to process each individual deletion.

As long as they still have their shitty customer service, I'll be happy.

Just tried to log in, got the same password reset prompt, got the email, clicked the link, tried to create a new password, got the error message telling me my account username must not be valid (or some such nonsense). Sent them an email alerting them to the problem and told them they must not want their old customers back.

Whatever they did, their sorting feature is worse. It won't do anything.
EDIT: It will sort by title...but not by price. They currently have a Buy 2 Get 1 Free sale.

24+ hours later and no response to my email, not even an automated acknowledgement.
My god their prices are high! $16.88 for Hunger Games, $11.99 at Amazon. $21.88 for World War Z, $10.88 at Amazon! Prometheus (with a different cover) $13.28, $7.99 at Amazon. Kinda makes this B2G1 Free sale seem silly.

Alright, got it!
When you reset your password and enter a new password, it must be at least 8 characters with a combination of letters and numbers.
Of course it would be easier if they TOLD you to do this in the first place but....
But wishlists and previous order histories are still not imported over.

Re: DeepDiscount - removes wishlist, accounts inaccessible?
While their former implementation of a "wish list" was horrendous I *did* have lots of stuff there for price check reasons. Like everyone else I've found it's all gone! That totally sucks... Had I known they were doing a migration to a "new" site I'd have saved a copy for referrence.
My order history is gone as well but I really don't recall if I've actually purchased from them directly during the past 12 months as frequently what I'm interested in is actually less expensive going through their Amazon MP account.
Oh well... at least I got my password reset without issue.

Re: DeepDiscount - removes wishlist, accounts inaccessible?
I sent them an e-mail 2 weeks ago. They replied to me today that the order history was restored. No mention of my WL. I logged in and it says "No orders found."
A great job (of being incompetent)!

Re: DeepDiscount - removes wishlist, accounts inaccessible?
They are completely mistaken about restoring anything. There isn't a scrap of info from my old account in my transferred new account. I don't care a great deal, their orders accounting had been messed up for years. It looks like SuperD finally decided to migrate away from Deepdiscount's outdated software platform. I hope they keep DVDplanet's software the same, that site has never had problems.

Re: DeepDiscount - removes wishlist, accounts inaccessible?
It looks like Wish Lists are back, at least for some. All out of stock items are gone, some of the pics are different for me at least, but it is there again. May be worth checking out if you still have any interest in ordering from them again.
