Other than the $5 Fleetwood Mac 3 CD Rumors Set at Target, I haven't seen jack. There's actually a few things I want/need (a few titles on disc (both cd, blu & dvd), another 32 gb Flash Drive, & some blank TY's &/or FTI's), & I'm not seeing drastic markdowns anywhere. The only other decent sale I know of is the 20% off everything at hpb, & if you can actually find anything worth buying, the 4 for $10 dvd sale at Big Lots.

I also have almost my entire eBay store at 20% off, & I'm not selling jack, either. Adding in the ebay fees & markdowns already taken on many of the titles, & I'm (not) selling much of anything even at what is basically break even.

Wonder if the lack of sales is because the big retailers know the economy is so Fubarred that no matter what the price, nothing is going to sell?

M4, you are correct. email deals...Meh. Store deals...meh.
You would think the nonconomy would cause the big retailers to push more sales to drive customers into their stores. But, that appears not to be the case. Guess saving all the great deals for Christmas. We can hope.

I've always thought Labor Day sales were underwhelming. I guess I'm always expecting something because of Memorial Day sales, but am usually disappointed.

I don't know if it was advertised. I heard about it on another forum. I have confirmed it is accurate, but some stores have sold out. It is the $30 3 cd edition of Fleetwood Mac Rumors for $5 at Target.

I THINK it ends when they sell out (but I could be wrong). The store closest to me was sold out on Friday; they checked other stores within about 25 miles & they all had between 1-3 copies each. I chose not to spend the gas.

The Fleetwood Mac sale tag said the price is good until sometime in October.

The number on my receipt for the 3 disc Rumor's cd is: 012041506. There were 2 more at the brown deer rd. store this afternoon, and at that store it was on the cd rack facing the main aisle with all the sale/popular CDs.

Same here. It says on the receipt that the regular price was $13. Hell, $13 bucks on this set is a decent deal. 5 bucks is a steal!

It's a 3-CD set in a cardboard sleeve, though copies are flying off of shelves since the deal started last week. I doubt many will be left after this weekend.

As for overall deals, this has definitely been the quietest Labor Day weekend for sales that I can remember. Retail stores have completely changed their focus in response to the Internet. It's ridiculous the warehouse clubs are already stocking Christmas items.

Big Lots was putting out Xmas crap today, too.

Does anyone know if sold out stores are restocking? I went to check yesterday, but the parking lot was full; & it is about a 10 mile drive.
