This is why Amazon is pissing me off more and more. This thing was a LIGHTNING DEAL for over $100. Now a day or so later it;s actually $25 cheaper.

And if you PM them, they "might" make a "one-time" exception .. I think they should do some PM's for their customers, especially those that monitor prices and are the most upset at large discounts after purchasing a "Lightning deal".

Frakkin' ridiculous.

That's exactly why I avoid buying from amazon whenever I can now that they charge me tax. Buy it at bestbuy or target, and if this happens just take it right back to the store with no shipping cost.

I feel for you TAF; but must admit that I almost bit on the $100+ price, decided to wait, and just bought it.

I already owned a few of the sets, but it looked like it would have taken me at least $80 to complete the collection, so just took the plunge here. Will give some of my old Columbo away this Christmas.

I decided to cancel my order after I read about the Aspect ratio change and ordered the Region 2 UK set for just a few dollars more which does have the correct aspect ratios as mentioned above. Glad I did! I also did like that packaging better as well. Its like a cigar box!

question on the R2 set - what's on the extra disc?

Hmmm, between these mysterious aspect ratio problems, the UK bonus disc, and the Japanese BD set; I've decided to cancel my order.
