Synopsis:

I watched and own the 1st 2 movies on BD, so why the hell not? This looks hilariously bad, yet awesome.

And just like that my box set is invalidated.

FYI, the hot chick in this movie is Tanit Phoenix. She's the host/narrator of the Cinemax series Femme Fatales. Really smoking hot girl.

I enjoyed part 2 very much. It's also directed by the same guy, so I'll probably like it.

I have no idea what she's going on about, but she has a great personality and is uber-hot. I'll have to check that show of hers out. She's good with accents, too. I couldn't tell if she was fucking around towards the end, because her British accent kept shifting into an American one. She's got skills.

Whatever happened to Dougray Scott? Didn't he show some promise 12 or so years ago?

He lost out on the Wolverine role and Bond.

I thought I read that he actually was offered the Wolverine role and turned it down to be in one of the Mission Impossible movies.

I heard he signed on to play Wolverine but Mission Impossible 2 ran over schedule so he had to drop out.

He signed on to be Wolverine, had a scheduling conflict due to M:i-II, then Jackman was hired. However, Jackman was then let go when the scheduling conflict was resolved. Then Jackman was rehired when Scott suffered a back injury shooting a motorcycle stunt in M:i-II.

EDIT - it's pretty cool so far, but be warned, it's not the Unrated version.

Just watched this tonight on Netflix.

Really good movie. Really cool setup for the 1st movie.

I can't go into too much detail about the plot without ruining a huge twist at the end. If you have Netflix this is definitely a worthy watch.

Lots of action and explosions. The South African scenery is great. Nice to be away from the prison. Even though the movie is straight to video, it doesn't feel cheap at all.

And Tanit Phoenix whoever her man is, he is one lucky SOB to be hitting that regularly. She just oozes sex every time you see her on screen.

As pointed out in the DVD talk review, the Unrated version is apparently only 22 seconds longer.

Yeah, and it's usually just the kills that benefit from that extra gore. The thing is that you can totally tell where the cuts are in the streamed version - 22 seconds or not.

Watched a review copy of this last night. Surprisingly, not terrible. And I thought the remake was shit. This movie knows its audience and fully exploits everything they're asking for. Danny Trejo is the best actor in the bunch, though, so that says something. Some pretty brutal deaths, dudes getting smashed, burned, blown to bits. Great stunt work, too. The Blu-ray has really fantastic video and audio. Room shaking shit.
