Hi everyone i wanted to know what is your favorite Wes Anderson film ? my favorite is the royal tenenbaums. I haven't not seen his other films i did see the darjeeling limited last night, it was aright film, but The royal tenenbaums is still my favorite. Another question how would you rank Him with other directors ?

The Royal Tenenbaums is probably my favorite film of his, and the one I've seen the most. I would rank them:

The Royal Tenenbaums

Rushmore
Moonrise Kingdom
Fantastic Mr. Fox
The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou
Darjeeling Limited

All have been good.

Tennenbaums is his best but boy do I love The Life Aquatic.

I'd say Rushmore is def my favorite, followed by The Royal Tenenbaums.
It's funny, I had a lukewarm reaction to The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou
when I first saw it, but now it's probably my 3rd favorite Anderson film. I still think The Darjeeling Limited is his weakest film.
Even though I like all his films, I wonder if Wes is gonna keep making the same movie for the rest of his career? You know, full of dry deadpan humor,coy precious characters, anal retentive attention to details, etc.
C'mon Wes make an action movie, or a torture porn horror film or something.
Make something different and lose the whimsy for like one movie.....

Was someone ACTUALLY asking Wes Anderson to make an action film? Seriously, Life Aquatic was one of the greatest superhero movies ever made. What more could you want?

I want to say Tenenbaums for Hackman alone, but it's probably Bottle Rocket, my intro film to Wes.

I need to see Darjeeling. I've had the Criterion Blu-ray for months.

The Royal Tenenbaums is my favorite followed by Rushmore. The Life Aquatic and Darjeeling Limited weren't very good in my opinion, but maybe I need to check them out again. The only one I haven't seen is The Fantastic Mr. Fox.

Fantastic Mr. Fox is my favorite! It gets funnier every time I see it.

Haven't seen Moonrise Kingdom yet.

Haven't seen them all yet (Moonrise and Fantastic Mr Fox) but Rushmore by far. While I like the others I always finding myself wanting to watch Rushmore at the end of Summer/start of Fall.

Rushmore by a considerable distance. All his films are good, but Rushmore takes first place by a mile. It's just a perfect little jem. As he's gained more money to work with his films have gotten bigger but they've lost something along the way.

The one with Bill Murray is the best followed by the one with Owen Wilson.

I would probably say Rushmore, but I really love Fantastic Mr. Fox as well. I haven't seen Darjeeling Limited and Moonrise Kingdom, though.
