CARS ARE DANCING IN 3D! HOW ARE YOU NOT EXCITED?
As someone who has hated the first two films, but adored Step Up 3D, it's sad to admit that I'm game. While the teaser trailer shows nothing of real interest, it's good to see they're going to continue choreographing the dance sequences to utilize 3D to its potential a la the last film.
While a lot of credit has to go to Chu on making the last film a visceral experience (best use of 3D I've still seen), at least he's still on board as a producer. I'm just curious in how they'll work in all of the Step Up 3D characters (a lot of whom are credited) into this one. Personally, I'd wish they would just knock it off with the love story and just give us straight-up 90 minutes of dance sequences in 3D.
And it's great to see that Disney has lost all hope on the franchise and has bailed out.

I saw Step Up 2: The Streets was on BET or something the other day and I was wondering why they didn't milk the franchise for a 4th one since they were so profitable. Looks like it was already in the pipeline.

Yup. 2 is worthless but 3 is the best in the series and best use of 3D I've ever seen.

I like the series alot. Step Up 3 was awesome, so yeah I'm game for this one.
How the hell is Step Up 1 and 2 not on BD. I own both of them on DVD, but would upgrade if they came out.
And I agree with Ropes, I thought 2 was good mainly for Briana Evigan's sick dancing and amazing body.

Briana Evigan was easy on the eyes but I found Step Up 2 to be such a bore.
I did like the final dance sequence but the rest of the movie just plodded along. I think they made the mistake of actually focusing on the (very bland) story over the dancing. The third film rectified that mistake (in spades).

1 is not on BR but 2 is see here http://www.amazon.com/Step-Up-2-Stre.../dp/B0017TWUZG
Give me some bad a$$ dance numbers and a hot chick to look at in the movie and I will watch it.
Hell I still like You got Served (dumb story and acting but the dance numbers rock)
