I just noticed that Maggie Grace will be in there...I'm assuming she'll be the President's daughter? I wonder how old she'll act in comparison to what her character's age is...and Grace's age itself.

Escape from New York in space?

This just showed up on my radar yesterday. I'm there, anything connected to Luc Besson and I'm willing to watch. Actually looks okay, 2/22/12 release in France have to wait until 4/20/12 here in the US.

Guy looks great in this. This is obviously EFNY in space, but damn if it don't look fun!

AICN reported on this movie recently, and referred to it as M.S. One, but I'm not sure if that is/will be the new title.

It reminds me of Neil Marshall's Doomsday, which I happened to like quite a bit. I'm sold.

i keep seeing trailers for this and it certainly looks fun.

Might check it out if I get bored. EFNY in space sounds like fun.

Finally watched the trailer, and I'll echo the same "Escape from NY in space" vibe it gave me. Not sure if it'll be worth a theater viewing, but certainly some HD airing.

Yeah, when I saw the trailer for this before Wrath of the Titans it totally gave me an EFNY vibe. Apparently the working title was Escape from M.S. One so it's an intentional similarity.

That trailer has every action movie cliche from 1980-1989. Even though I laughed out load at the dialogue, I'm still seeing this. Any 80's action star could take Guy Pearce's place and make it work (Stallone, Van Damme, Willis, you name it). Looks like a great throwback to the action movie days of old.

looks pretty decent, although the casting of Pierce in such a role is dubious.

Pierce is part of the appeal for me. It feels like forever since he was the lead in anything.

I really like Guy Pierce but I don't know...when I hear the cliche line "There's only one man that can..." Guy Pierce isn't my first thought. I just don't think of him as a tough guy action star. Maybe this will change my perception.

Darn, I was hoping this would be an HBO movie about the NFL lockout last year.
