So I'm working on a project and wondering if there are any (relatively famous) scenes from films that involve a character(s) holding up or pointing to or referencing some type of pie chart, bar graph, that kind of thing.

Friz Freleng directed a Warner Bros. cartoon called "By Word of Mouse" (1954) that contained an economics lecture in the form of a cat-chasing-mice cartoon. It must have had a lot of graphs and pie charts. Here's a pic from it:

Also, there must be a comedy from the 1960s set in the advertising or TV worlds that used pie charts and graphs. I can't think of one offhand. I just saw LOVER COME BACK, set on Madison Avenue, but I didn't notice anything in it that's relevant to this discussion. Look at stuff like:
THE THRILL OF IT ALL
GOOD NEIGHBOR SAM
SEX AND THE SINGLE GIRL

And, what about A BEAUTIFUL MIND?

Not sure if this fits your category, but the chalkboard scene from Back to the Future Part II has always been one of my favorite movie scenes of all time

I actually solved a computer data entry problem at a state job one time using the same explanation as Doc (except I explained via a dry erase board)...haha

first thing I thought of

South Park: Bigger, Longer, Uncut. A pie chart showing the percentage that each of Canada's industries contributes to its overall economy (Terrence & Philips, X Files Filming, etc).

Which brings up the obvious recommendation of The Simpsons Movie.

I suspect there are some (definitely in the original TV version, don't remember in the movie version) in the various Guide articles in Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy.
