So this music is immensely popular in the Netherlands, also in France, Italy, Germany and Belgium. There are party's organised througout every week, and the larger festivals attract up to 80.000 people.
I can only describe it as music that has thunderous beats and distorted synths. Personally I love going to a party or festival, but never bother to actually listen to the music outside of that. The atmosphere of the whole crowd going crazy is just so elevating!

You should probably clarify that as Hardcore (Techno) to avoid getting it confused with Hardcore (Punk).

Hadn't heard of it before, but that is a pretty cool promotional video. It looks like quite a setup with a lot going on, visually. I bet it would be a fun festival to attend.

It is. I really listen to all kinds of music, but the party atmosphere at these party's are just undescribable.

The Netherlands also produce hardstyle music, which is like hardcore only slower and more melodic. You should check out the last minute of this video if you're into the visual aspect

Thanks for the second video, pretty cool as well. I think I like the sound of that type of music more than the first video, though both are good.

What would be some good suggestions you'd give for artists to look for to check out more of that type of music?

To be honest, I wouldn't know what to recommend for hardstyle. I did actually attend the Defqon 1 festival this year (the one in the video), but I never listen to the music outside of these party's.

I can however give you some names of the more famous hardstyle artist.

Noisecontrollers (the one you hear in the defqon video, their anthem for Defqon 2011 was called "Unite".
