New British rock/metal bands?
I'm wondering, am I missing something? We know all about their female singers (Winehouse, Allen, Stone, Cole) but where are the new British rock/metal bands? The only one that comes to mind is Bullet for my Valentine. Well, there's Cradle of Filth but I hate them.
It seems odd to me that I'm listening to more Finnish bands (HIM, Stratovarius, CoB, Nightwish) than British these days. I listen to Sirius Octane and ShoutCast Power Tracks 525 and it's all American bands, with Nordic bands representing most of Europe.
Am I wrong?

To those, I would add the Jim Jones Revue and though they're not "new", they're "new" because they're the best band that no one's ever heard of: The Wildhearts. Ginger (the singer)'s solo projects are also top notch music for everyone.

Good Lord man, the Wildhearts have been around since the 80s. I remember reading about Ginger being fired from the Quireboys in Kerrang. He must be nearing 50.

Anybody familiar with doom band Warning? Frontman Patrick Walker, one of the best singers in doom or all of metal history in my opinion, has a new London band called 40 Watt Sun that just put out their debut this year. If you're familiar with Warning and like them, this won't be all that different in neither sound nor quality: that is to say that it is heavy doom with clean vocals and it's really, really fucking good.

Some aren't new, some are broken up, some have re-formed, some are actually new-ish, but I thought I'd post all that came off the top of my head in case you haven't heard of any of them Traxan.
