So we have IVAN Reitman, who hasn't directed a hit movie in a looooong time (his last effort being 2006's fairly panned My Super Ex-Girlfriend), a writer who has never before penned a screenplay for a feature-length film and....Ashton Kutcher.

What could possibly go wrong???

But it also has Portman. So is she just cashing in or was there something genuinely remarkable that she saw in this project. The trailer looks pretty silly and clichéd.

It also features Cary Elwes, Olivia Thirlby, Greta Gerwig and Kevin Kline.

Just seemed odd that Jason Reitman would be directing an Ashton Kutcher movie right after two Oscar nominated flicks in a row. Whew.

Speaking of Jasons... I think Jason Segal would've been a lot more fun in the lead role instead of Ashton Kutcher.

The January release date is another sign of a dud. I guess Natalie Portman had some big bills to pay. Those indies don't pay well!

I'm surprised Natalie Portman signed on for what looks like a shitty rom com.

Regarding the title, I am inclined to believe the official trailer.

As for the release date, let's not forget that this film prominently features Ashton Kutcher. I think it is best for all concerned to forget it is being released at all.

More than anything, I think it looks leagues better than the trailer for My Super Ex-Girlfriend. Even in the span of a 1-and-a-half-minute trailer, I remember thinking MSEG looked like it was directed by someone who might be going senile. The shots seemed poorly framed, the editing was sloppy...it was kind of horrifying, for someone who grew up on Ghostbusters.

In any case, I can't say I laughed, but it looks pleasant enough to me. Even Kutcher looks like he's dialed down his schmucky smarm enough to be a reasonable lead. Then again, Natalie Portman could charm me without batting an eyelash, so I may be biased.

Fingers crossed...I'm always pulling for Ivan Reitman. I think his last great movie was 'Dave'...so maybe having Kevin Kline also in this too is promising (hopefully for more than just a cameo).

I hope Jason Reitman directs GB3 if it happens.

As for this, I won't watch Ashton Kutcher in anything, ever again.

Jason has emphatically stated that he does not want to follow in his father's footsteps in that particular regard.

Could the marketing for this movie be ANY MORE FUCKING ANNOYING? It's so incredibly pathetic to see Portman and Kutcher sitting on a couch, pleading with America to waste money on seeing their bland, utterly generic pile of excrement.

Haven't seen that ad yet. I love how many critics pin this movies greatest failing as Ashton Kutcher.

First, there's an Ashton Everfucking Kutcher movie, and soon she's costarring in a medieval comedy with that Eastbound and Down douche that also looks like a big wet fart.

Natalie is looking to do several female lead comedies. I think her new production company is doing one as well.

I've never really liked McBride (except that he helped bring the Underworld franchise to us), but Your Highness actually looks funny.
