He's confusing this Danny McBride with this Danny McBride.

"It's got f**king vampires, but then these werewolves come in and start f**king their sh*t up... What? No Stevie, there's not going to be any f**king Frankensteins..."

Natalie Portman (Emma) and Ashton Kutcher (Adam) play 2 people who have known one another since their teen years, but their interactions were limited to infrequent chance meetings. One night, they hook up and they try to see if they can keep it casual as in booty call buddies.
While the script wasn't the strongest, it was nice to see a R-rated movie for this genre of film, and they definitely didn't get cheated when it came to dropping the F-bomb and making the most of the sexual situations at times, but there are some solid laughs here and there, and I liked the chemistry between Portman and Kutcher, and the supporting cast was good (surprised to see Kevin Kline playing Adam's father). Also surprised to see Ivan Reitman in a small cameo, and then it dawned on me that he alway directed this film.
Overall, a pretty decent date movie. I like seeing Portman in contemporary roles where she can be rather "normal" and let loose while connecting with Adam, and Kutcher keeps most of his silly side in check, but he can easily turn it on when needed.
I give it 2.75 stars, or a grade of B-.

Re: No Strings Attached (Reitman), Kutcher & Portman rom-com
For those wondering why Portman would want to star in a rom-com, here's her explanation from EW:
“I’ve always wanted to do [a romantic comedy],” says the newly pregnant star, who’s finally jumping into the genre with this week’s No Strings Attached, co-starring Ashton Kutcher. “But the girls are always in fashion, and it’s always about their clothes. They always want to get married at the end. There’s some kind of makeover scene. That stuff offends me.”
Portman says the script appealed to her because of its female take on the old guy-meets-girl scenario. “[Screenwriter] Liz Meriwether writes women so specifically and smartly,” says the actress. “My character is a woman who’s working, who’s trying to create her own construct for relationships, who’s funny herself — and isn’t just the girlfriend of a funny guy.”
Portman is developing female friendly comedies through her production company, Handsomecharlie Films. “Natalie wants to build something that’s different from your usual production company,” says Portman’s producing partner, Annette Savitch. “We want to do movies that are female driven, from a fresher perspective. So if it’s a comedy, it’s not just about women out to find husbands. I think that’s really lacking today.”

Based on the amount of women laughing at the jokes in the theater, she fully succeeded. I've never been to any other movie where it was that obvious how much the humor was skewing to the women.

Sounds exactly like something Kenny Powers would say. Now I want season 3 of EB&D to take place in Hollywood.

But for Portman, the film featured quite a few racy scenes/positions that surprised this viewer. Don't think she'll continue to be so carefree with such scenes of coitus (the cute butt shot from the trailer of "Your Highness" notwithstanding) in films after she gives birth later this year.

Saw it last night and really enjoyed it. This is probably the first time I really liked Ashton in a movie, since he wasnt doing his usual silly acting. Portman was great, and it was good to see a romcom with a different feel. Like my friend said, it was good to see them not rush off and get married, or other silly things you see.

i really liked this one. i am not big on the rom-coms, but this was very enjoyable and unconventional. you kinda knew what would happen, but they got there in slightly unexpected ways. not a big Ashton fan, but this made him very likeable and decent as an actor and now look forward to Two and a Half Men.
executed very adeptly by Reitman. nice movie.

Saw this last night and enjoyed it. An easy B. They had some pretty salty languange in places it wasn't necessary and no nudity when it would have helped. Lake Bell and Kevin Kline were very fun supporting members

My wife was definitely laughing more than me. I noticed that because I usually laugh more than her but this was obvious

This is No Strings, not Friends With Benefits, the other FWB themed rom-com. There was a little skin here and there but they'd take a scene with the pizzaz of a network sit-com and talk about "fingering". I wasn't offended, I just thought some of the language was out of place. If you have an R rating, make the whole damn thing ribald, don't just make it an excuse to drop F bombs

My wife and I finally watched this on Netflix the other night.
If I had to describe this film for the TL;DR crowd: Kevin Kline obviously lost a bet by acting in a film where Natalie Portman plays an uptight bitch as Ashton Kutcher flounders his way as a love-sick puppy dog around this 106-minute debacle.
There were numerous times I wanted to walk out of my own house, but I owed it to my wife as I made her sit through Rubber and Hollywood Sex Wars recently. It seriously was one of the most excurciating two-hours I've had the pleasure of sitting through this year. Sometimes I questioned if Chuck Lorre actually direct it rather than a Reitman. Why? Because it plays like an unfunny sitcom with annoying best friends, stereotypical villains (HE TURNS OUT GAY IN THE END? HAHA! THAT'S SO FUCKING FUNNY!), terrible jokes, and a plot that can barely sustain twenty minutes let alone 106.
I love the Fast and the Furious franchise, but even Ludacris seemed like he didn't even want to be in the picture. I'm assuming positive intent because it seemed he wasn't even acting. I don't even know what he was doing other than slurring half of his dialogue and moping through the other half.
Seriously. The movie was a piece of shit and somehow I manage to hate Kutcher more now. Somebody please tell me that Friends with Benefits is better because that film actually has some talent behind it.

Is this what the women like to see? The girl treating the boy like shit?
Like a dildo to be tossed aside once the deed is done?
