A good deal for something that's been on my wish list for a long time. Wish I had the money for it at the moment.

Curses! If only I had the money for this right now! I was just looking this up the other day.

Great set, I picked it up during a DD sale earlier this year.

Isn't the packaging pretty crappy? Isn't it right that there are no extras in the set that you don't get with the individual releases?

This price should be about $20 cheaper to really be a decent deal.

The one extra that was not available with any of the individual season releases was the later TV movie featuring the original cast, RETURN TO MAYBERRY.

However, in December, a new compilation release called The Andy Griffith Show 50th Anniversary: Best of Mayberry will include that same TV movie along with other extras, priced right now for pre-order at Amazon for $22.49.

So if you own the separate season DVD sets, don't buy the complete series just to get the TV movie (believe me, people have!).
