Re: Julianne Moore loves to cry

didn't they show her tearing up in the trailer? It doesn't lead to full on crying?

Good video. For Moore's sake, I can say that this wasn't one of those "overdoing it" montages. Most of those movies were really good.

Someone should re-edit that video and after she's done crying in every scene, make a fart sound.

That's a whole lotta cryin'.

I gotta say she puts on a decent cry for the camera.

Most crying faces aren't terribly flattering.

And to piggyback off Snake's comment....I'd stick it in her fartbox.

Re: Julianne Moore loves to cry

I don't see the point here. Moore has been doing outstanding work for the last 15 years or so, so naturally there's going to be some crying involved. You could put together a similar montage with several other actors.

I mean, this isn't like the Shia Lebeouf "no no no no" video that only needed a few years' worth of movies.

I dunno...it's pretty funny that she cried in Assassins.

Re: Julianne Moore loves to cry

It's something from what I call Stupid Actor Tricks.
And female actors tend to be more, I dunno, aggressive about it. A Deniro crying reel would be pretty ridiculous. She puts her big ol' heart into it.

No, but the guy that made that guitar Townshend is smashing probably cries every time he sees that!

Re: Julianne Moore loves to cry

With the exception of Hannible, Boogie Nights, & The Forgotten (which I thought was a very underrated flick BTW).........I am clueless to all of those other films...some I've heard the names of but that's it.

The ending was perfect.

Oh, and......she's still hot.

Re: Julianne Moore loves to cry

Filmmakers will tend to rewrite otherwise less emotional scenes to be all-out ballers if they end up casting someone who they know can convincingly burst into tears at will, or will specifically cast an actress that they know can bring it. I've seen interviews with Meg Ryan where she said that she used to get jobs for the very reason that she could cry on command. So it's kind of a vicious circle.

Re: Julianne Moore loves to cry

Bad thing about Ryan is that she was a mediocre actress. Moore can act.
