Community (S1) --> $12.99 w/ coupon --> Amazon.com (see below)

just saw this and almost didn't believe it.

best price you will probably see for a long time on 25 eps and loaded with extras for one of the funniest new shows last season. almost like a price you would see months and months down the road after initial release.

**See posts starting on Page 4 in order to have $5.00 coupon applied to order to Amazon.com order. Simply typing in 'SONYFIVE' will not work at this time.**

However, I've tried entering it but it won't accept the code.

Thanks for posting this. Did you just happen upon it? Really surprised it's a different price now than in the Weekly Ad. Jumped on it immediately.

yeah, i didn't see it in Target's ad that was posted here so i wanted to see what it was online (with every intention of getting there or Best Buy B&M on Tues. for $26.99 or $27.99), eventhough i know they tend to be different and there it was.

Nabbed it for like $21ish after shipping and tax. Beats the $26.49 price I had on Amazon.

it's just too bad you can't pm in-store or it would have been even more of a steal.

There's a $5 off Coupon in Today's newspaper.

Crossing fingers that this will be the B&M price.

Hmmmm, for curiosity sakes, I'm going to visit Target on Tuesday after I get off work and see what their shelf price is for this.

Target has been known to have non-advertised price cuts and this could be one of them.

Yeah, it will probably end up being that price in-stores, but on the chance that it isn't I placed the order. Either way, glad to have the show for a pretty reasonable price.

Fixed.

Thanks Scott!

edit: I sent a message to Amazon, so we'll see if they price match.

Eh dino88, I'd argue that Parks & Recreation was funnier than Community, but as far as new comedies go I'd definitely say Community edged out Modern Family.

Now that I think about it I'd actually rank it second. My top 3 would be:

1. Curb Your Enthusiasm
2. Community
3. Parks & Recreation

Ah yeah, I had forgotten about Curb Your Enthusiasm. That's what happens when your show has only 10 episodes per season, lol. That was a great season though and wonderful; seeing Seinfeld & Co. back together again. Tough to compare a show like Curb with only 10 episodes to two 25-episode seasons that were consistently strong (Parks & Recreation) and top notch once it got going (Community).

but, what's the difference considering same company and still pay for tax and free ship only over $25?

I can't imagine that this thread would've been closed because of that, but I did split the "TV on Blu-ray vs. DVD" discussion into its own thread:

re: Community (S1) --> $12.99 --> Target.com

Apologies for the thread getting a little sidetracked than talking about the bargain itself. As I said earlier, will drop by Target on Tuesday and see if it's $17.99 on the shelf.
