Movies where title doesn't come right at the beginning?
I'm not talking movies where it doesn't come at all (along with the actor and production credits)...
I am talking a few minutes into a movie when the title card is presented with some emphasis and dramatic effect. some even do the beginning and end title card thing which i love as well.
i seem to love this little gimmick and wondering what are some really effective uses of it.
The recent ones that i know and really liked were:
Friday the 13th (2009)
Drag Me To Hell (beginning and end)
The Lion King (beginning and end)
something about the way the director does it that does make it more dramatic for me. neat little thing i know, but effective when done right.

I think Irreversible had the title card at the end, well, for obvious reasons.
Some others off the top of my head:
- X-Men (and I think X2 and X3 as well)
- Army of Darkness (due to the mini prologue/recap at the beginning)
- Watchmen (one of the best title card sequences I've ever seen)

I believe all three lord of the rings movies did this. They showed the "lord of the rings" but the subtitled movie came a few minutes into the films.

Batman Begins and The Dark Knight have the title card at the end of the movie.

I remember laughing the first time I saw The Departed because of how far into the flick the title card came.

I'm drawing a blank but it's either 'Blissfully Yours' or 'Tropical Malady' where the opening credits begin waaay into the movie.

THE DIRTY DOZEN (1967) has a long (20 minute?) prologue setting up the mission and the titles don't begin until Major Reisman (Lee Marvin) arrives at the prison and meets all the prisoners (the Dozen) for the first time. Some of the cast names appear over the actors.
QUEEN OF OUTER SPACE (1958) has a long pre-credits sequence before the ship takes off for Venus. When I saw it on TV once, the first commercial break came before the credits.

Star Trek (2009)
Title doesn't appear until after the entire opening sequence, and then quite dramatically and effectively, I must say.
