$5 concert tickets via Subway promotion

There is a small thread in the Hot Deals forum, but it probably should be posted here. There is a promotion running where you can use the following code to get $5 concert tickets to select shows:

"subway5$tix"

The following link has the venues that are participating:

http://promo-img.livenation.com/lnus/subway/venues.html

The tv ads that have been running on TV have been promoting Nickelback, The Fray, and Motley Crue, but there are plenty of other options for those who don't like that shit.

For Houston, I have picked up $5 tix so far for:

The Pogues
Zappa Plays Zappa
Stryper
Psychedelic Furs/Happy Mondays

Among the others available for Houston are:

Chris Isaak
Collective Soul

Obviously each city will have different shows, but among those posted in the other thread are $5 tix for the following:

Mutemath
Neville Brothers
Queensryche
Extreme
Eagles Of Death Metal

Enjoy.

Re: $5 concert tickets via Subway promotion

Code seems to be subway$5tix, not subway5$tix. Would've been interested in the Decemberists, Andrew Bird and Snow Patrol here, but Decemberists doesn't have any $5 tickets left, Andrew Bird is a night I'm out of town and Snow Patrol isn't participating. Oh well. Not a bad deal for those who can get in, but it's probably also worth mentioning that the tickets are actually closer to $15 after the bullshit fees.

Yeah, the fees suck, but for shows I was interested in going to anyway, it saves me a lot. For The Pogues, I hadn't already bought tix at $45, so I was pumped to save $40, even though the fees didn't go down.

Cool deal.

One of the concerts I had already bought tickets for, so that didn't help. However, Motorhead for $5 is an awesome deal. I might even pick up some tickets to other shows for this price.

Nice. Not one Washington venue. (even though Livenation has a few venues out here)

I was able to buy some of my $5 tickets for the Boston House of Blues direct from the HOB website, which is cheaper than Live Nation. Two Queensryche tix = $17.80 total!
