I saw a movie on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon on TV in the mid 90's. So the movie was probably made anywhere from the 70's to mid 90's at most -- certainly not the late 90's.

It was color. Based on camera work, I'd say it was mid 70's to mid 80's but I don't want to restrict it too much.

Plotwise, I don't remember much. All I remember is the end:

I think it was a man and a woman on the run from police. I remember being shocked at the last scene. They are laughing that they somehow outraced the police and look at each other for a split sec... when they look back to the road a split second later, they hit a train. Cue credits.

That's how I remember it anyway.

Yeah, its a cult classic. Unfortunately OOP on dvd now... One of my all time favorites... I think someone mentions it in the all time best endings thread...

I believe it's got a bit of a cult following. I've wanted to see it for a while but I've never gotten around to it. I guess I know how it ends now though...

If I remember correctly, it is one of the movies that Bridget Fonda is watching on television in Jackie Brown.
