With so many people desperate to break into Hollywood, you have to wonder how some of these talentless folks pass the audition tests. Obviously, it is all looks and no skill with these folks. Here are a few examples:

Paul Walker


Paul's acting ability contains a total of two ranges. Monotone dialogue and yelling. He gets credit for being the star The Fast and Furious which works well for him because it's a loud dumb popcorn movie series. Will we ever see Paul in a serious dramatic role? Not a chance.


Hayden Christiansen


You think more attention would have been given for casting the biggest bad guy in the biggest film series of all time. Instead, they chose this Canadian dud, another reason why the new trilogy just leaves a sour taste for fans of Star Wars.

Hayden's acting is so wooden that I've seen 5th grade plays that were more believable than his fake acting love affair especially seen in CLone Wars. His entire ability consists of being able to make mean faces and yell a lot.
Hayden's lead in the awful movie, Jumper, only serve to confirm that this guy really can't act!

jessica alba, unless you consider this "talent":

Hayden C. did a great job in Shattered Glass. Everybody in the Star Wars prequels was wooden, even Jackson who usually has a touch of natural character to him.

Paul Walker does that "good looking tough guy" routine and some movies simply call for that, I didn't think he was all that bad in Running Scared.

Alba is still pretty hot, sometimes that is all you need, still pissed they added stuff to her character's wardrobe in Sin City. At least her line delivery is leagues ahead of Denise Richards.

Of the examples mentioned above, Hayden was great in Shattered Glass and Lohan in Mean Girls. Adam Sandler was really good in SNL, his early comedies (The Wedding Singer, The Waterboy) and the few dramas he's done (Punch Drunk Love, Reign on Me). To call him no talent is ridiculous.

There's no shortage of hot actresses with no talent whatsoever. They usually disappear by age 30.

In terms of "classic" stars who were around for years and years, how about John Wayne? He delivered every line in exactly the same way, wah hah.

The Rock

I'll go with Groucho Marx. All he did was put black paint on his face. Whatever.

You sure about that? In one of the Rocky trailers, the voiceover says that he's in the same league as Brando!!

The Rock was great in Be Cool.

Stallone isn't untalented. He was nominated for Best Actor and Best Screenplay in the same year. The only other two who accomplished that: Orson Welles and Charlie Chaplin.

Thandie Newton. Beautiful lady, but I've never seen her act in anything that didn't scream, "Look, I'm ACTING!!! ACTING OVER HERE!!! AND BADLY!!!"

Her performance as Condoleeza Rice in "W." was the epitome of abominable.


Anyway, regarding Hayden Christiansen... the Star Wars prequel made EVERYONE look abominable, but he was pretty decent in "Life As A House" and "Jumper", but being in the SW flicks really didn't give his career to much momentum. He's no Harrison Ford, but he's not Mark Hamill either (talking feature-films here, yes I know Hamill's had an extremely successful voiceover career since.)

No, that was Eddie Cantor and Al Jolson.

Yeah, and everyone knows they were no-talent hacks and poseurs, too.

You could make an argument for all of them IMHO. Some of them just pretend better than others in certain movies.
