Is it just me or does this look like Shyamalan minus Shyamalan? Not that that might be a bad thing, and I am waiting for a Proyas film to match Dark City, but I'm getting tired of watching the world getting destroyed.
Plus, I can't understand how Nicolas Cage still gets work.

Of all the films you named, only "Adaptation" and "Matchstick Men" are one's he should be proud of. And "The Weather Man". All the others just plain suck and are embarrassing given what a good actor he can be.

As bad as a hefty portion of his (particularly recent) films have been, I can't recall ever thinking that a movie was made any worse by his presence.
The confusing thing is how, at this point, he isn't better able to navigate between the good scripts and the bad ones -- I don't think anyone would put forth that something like Next or Bangkok Dangerous would've been a masterpiece if only the casting were different.

It's the quotes. For some reason the search function sees " as part of the word. So if the title is "Knowing" it won't find it by typing in Knowing.
I'm up for anything by Proyas, but I'm still on the fence about Nic Cage in this.
