If you have not seen this show yet... Now is the time, especially for that price! I thought I got a good deal when I paid $35 at ezydvd.
Does this come with the miniseries?

Yeah, it comes with the pilot movie and the Season 1 miniseries. I was going to get the foreign version, but for this price, I had to pass and get the Idiot American Packaging version.
I caved. Had to find some other titles to make it over $50, but what the hek. For $20, I'll take a chance on the idiot packaging.

Yeah, the package was a neat idea poorly executed. But in the end it's still just packaging. I got this for Christmas last year, and the discs themselves are great, with a decent amount of extras.
There were some complaints about picture quality, and the early episodes were a little rough. But things quickly smoothed out as the production found its footing.
At $20, this is a steal.

Damn, all these HD DVD deals are killing me, but I can't pass on it at that price. Cheaper than the DVD set and packaging doesn't bother me. I realize it sucks, but as long as the discs work I'm fine at $20.

Be warned: the show is absolutely awesome until it crashes and burns during the wretched 4th season. After the killer HD DVD set for season 1 I was totally pumped to keep watching, but was ultimately let down.

Sci-Fi committed to 20 episodes and began production. Then the WGA strike came up and the schedule was compressed due to the unknown - whether they'd be able to finish the back 10 or not.
So they crammed content (and still had filler) and filmed a pseudo-series-finale that was open-ended, should it come back.
It wasn't horrid, but it wasn't Season 1 or Exodus or Pegasus or Razor. It's also not over yet.

That episode (and the rest of the season before it) was written and produced before the WGA strike. Were the show to have been cancelled by the WGA strike, the upcoming premiere of season 4.5 (Sometimes A Great Notion) would've acted as the series finale.
