32" LCD TV for <$1000
I am planning to buy a 32" LCD TV. I am not looking for 1080p.
But before anything. There is a Plasma 32" that is $599

I am not really a fan of Plasma and would prefer LCD...
Some of the LCDs that I am looking for...

They usually go on sale every month.

You probably don't want plasma at that size since it is not HD. You will notice the difference, even if some of the regulars here stop by and claim otherwise.
I'll bet you'll find the LG line pretty impressive.

I agree on that plasma. EDTV does not equal HDTV. I bought that Insignia 32" LCD on that second page you linked for the bedroom. For the price (I managed to get an open box one for $350) it's pretty good. I've had no problems with it and would recommend it for a budget LCD. I think the Insignia LCDs are re-badged LGs (not 100% sure on this, but it's what I've heard from several sources).

What do you think of the Sony KDL 32L4000?

Wow, that's a nice price for a Sony LCD. I didn't know that Sony was doing a "budget" line now. If I was in a market for a new TV, I'd be doing some research on that one.
