How I Met Your Mother - "The Chain of Screaming" - 4/14/2008

After Marshall witnesses a work buddy get yelled at after handing in a report, he becomes paranoid that the same will happen to him.
Barney and Robin really need to just get it on.

I think I'd rather had seen Robin eat that ice cream cone for most of the episode.

Good episode. I liked how there were a number of callbacks from previous episodes (eating in Ted's car, Bob Barker as Barney's father, Barney having a black brother, etc).

I couldn't stop watching the cutie in the blue shirt sitting in the booth behind Marshall the entire episode.

Loved Robin's "Marshall" scenario.

Exactly, I wonder if he will go for his job back or do something else, maybe that will be part of the way Ted meets the mother.

Sorry, just remembered that it was Marshall's car that no one could eat in, but a homeless guy broke in and vomited in it.

don't know if this has been brought up, but anyone check out the stuff in the background of the kids' scene for continuity clues. I don't have HD so I all I can make out properly is the wedding picture with the bride artfully hidden behind something, the washington sq arch and a photographers handbook...anything else of note behind them or in the room itself...
oh, and I enjoyed the episode well enough, but definitely not their best...

I must be in the minority. While I think Marshall is a big whiny bitch, I still quite enjoyed the episode. Barney is a funny bastard.

Definitely not as good as last week's.

I bump it up a point for Lily being horny, though. That's always worth watching. Not that I really watch anything on the show other than Lily. Even at the best of times.

Still, I'd rather watch a Marshall work episode than a Ted work episode. Those are just painful.

And bringing up unrealistic money issues just seems like such a tired, sitcom-y thing to do. What ever happened to that expensive wedding dress that Lily ruined? Or Lily's insane credit card debt? How do they have any money at all, and why is Ted bothering to tell his kids about all of this years later?
