One Tree Hill---"For Tonight You're Only Here to Know"---2/26/08

OneTreeHill

I sense a Cat fight coming tonight!

Synopsis:

Spoiler:

When the gals get locked in a library, Peyton and Lindsey have an opportunity to argue about Lucas; Brooke plays defense when others attack her mom; and Haley mentors Mia. Elsewhere, Mouth gets his first on-air assignment; and Lucas and Nathan each wrestle with how truthful to be regarding recent events in their lives.

Peyton can be really catty and immature and snarky, and she let it all hang out. And I was snickering along with her until Lindsay dropped the D-bomb on Peyton. At least they now have some common ground and won't spend all their time make evil faces at one another.

Tim's surprise appearance and maudlin exit rang quite true (growing up, and growing apart from childhood friendships).

Mia is fitting in quite fine (loved the compliments directed her way).

This episode drew quite a bit from "The Breakfast Club", girl prison films, and a Magnolia-style singalong at the end - a nice combo.

It was so good to see Tim again, he was always a funny character on the show, yet his story in this episode is so true to life it hurts thinking about it. Working the crappy job, while everyone you know has grown up, getting the good job and success while you feel left behind.

Good to see Tim, but if they can bring him back, where the fuck is Bevin?

Mia does have big jugs - I never noticed them before.

QFT. Probably hidden from view by a guitar, or she was schlumping over during those K-Fed episodes.

I enjoyed the episode. The catfighting was fun. Fun (and a bit sad because of the reasons you guys listed) to see Tim again.

Tim's appearance didn't come as a shock to me since I saw the actor's name in the credits(which is sad BTW that I recognized his name ).

Decent episode. I wish it had come to blows though between Peyton and Lindsay. Back in Season 1, that's what would have and did in fact happen.

I said out loud "Their going Magnolia on us right now. Wonder if anyone will pick this up on DVDTalk?"

Good episode overall. Good to see Tim back and Mia...yummy.

Okay, I question I've had all season... is there a reason they dumped the opening credits/theme song?

I'm not sure. I know they normally used the Black title cards in previous seasons for the darker themed episodes. I think they wanted to add a little more content to the show, plus with them out of high school, Gavin Degraw's song seems a little out of place for the open.

Oh, I also read that Bevin will appear this season. I guess she and Skills broke up in the 4 years since high school.

As much as Skills loves Nathan & Haley kid, hopefully she'll show up with Skills Jr.

Loved the episode. Do you think that the babysitter will make one mad dash at Nathan before she moves away?

If the spoiler I read is true, she's definitely not out of the picture just yet.

Yeah I heard Naley fans aren't going to be too happy with what is going to transpire.

This was a really good episode. Lindsey is actually growing on me in the likeability department. I think Kate Voegele has done a good job as Mia. I actually bought her album a few days ago and IMO she is really talented. Jamie's little Ravens jersey was really cute. It was also fun seeing Tim again.

I'm starting to get a sore throat every time I hear Sophia Bush speak. Would the hoarseness really be the result from too many cigarettes?

I like Lindsey. I've just been hesitant to warm up to her since I always figured she would get cast aside so Lucas and Peyton could get back together. Supporting characters don't last very long on these types of shows.

After this week's episode though, it seems like she's gonna be around for a while.

There's definitely something going on with her voice. Maybe she needs to get the same kind of help Eliza Dushku did when her voice had the same issues.

Does she smoke? I hope not.
