Bully: Scholarship Edition (Wii & 360: March 4th)

I just found out this was being released. I had always wanted to play it, but never had a Playstation 2. And now I find out its being released, not only with an updated engine, but additional content as well!

http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/845/845832p1.html

So for all those that have played it on the PS2, what'd you all think? As funny and fun to play as the GTA series? And will you be getting this on the next-gen consoles come March?

I'm excited to pick this up for 360, but I'm going to wait for a $30 price point on it.

If you like the humor and fun of the GTA series, this game is definitely worth it. It's lighter and smaller in scale than San Andreas, but it's a lot of fun and very addictive.

This game has a really fun quirky spirit that really drew me in. If anything it has a much stronger character aspect than the GTA series.

Wow, this is great news! I wanted to purchase this when it was released but i think i had some other stuff on my plate at the time and then never got around to buying it. The graphical enhancement for the 360 looks good and very polished and the inclusion of the extra content, missions, minigames make it a real draw for people who wanna play it again and those who never got a chance to, like myself.
Look forward to see what kinda achievements they cook up for this....

I'm definitely gonna check this out. I missed the PS2 release, but will pick this up on release date most likely.

Looks like $50 for both 360 and Wii versions.

Has nobody learned from Capcom (Resident Evil 4 Wii, $30)?

What, under-age boy-on-boy make out sessions don't appeal to you?

I believe you have the option of having a boyfriend or girlfriend. As such, I think that boy on boy kissing is an also an option.

I'll definitely pick this up, glad I waited, now I just have to figure out which version. I'll pick up the Wii version if they add some interesting controls, otherwise I'll go with the 360 version.

Re: Bully: Scholarship Edition (Wii & 360: March 4th)

Is there anyone that has played both the PS2 and 360 versions that can tell me what new additions are in the Scholarship Edition? I played Bully on PS2 and really liked it. I just got an Xbox and saw a used copy of Bully: SE at Blockbuster for $10. Is it worth playing through the new version? Thanks

edit: Thanks for the reply MWB! I think I'm going to go grab it. Now I just need to remember which BBV I saw it at.

Re: Bully: Scholarship Edition (Wii & 360: March 4th)

According to a quick Google search, the Scholarship Edition offers eight new missions and four new classes (music, math, biology, and geography).

Can't speak on the PS2 original but I bought the 360 version a couple months back and enjoyed it quite a bit. Don't know what the new missions are, but the new classes are okay. You can tell that the Music and Biology classes were made more for the Wii Remote than the 360 controller, but I liked the math and geography classes. To me, the game doesn't have much replay value at all, but if you really enjoyed the PS2 version and are itching to revisit it, for ten bucks, why not, right?

I also picked up the Scholarship Edition for 360 a couple months ago. The game was a lot of fun, I highly recommend it.

I never finished this. Got near the end, had a tough time with a level, and sold off the game

Alot of fun though

Sounds like you got the differences covered, but I'll throw my .02 in that I played the original on the PS2 and then also got it again with 360 release. Loved playing through it again. I definitely feel there's enough additional material to warrant a 2nd play. Especially for $10.

I'm thinking of starting this for my next game. Roughly how long is it, start to finish? I don't know if I can do another 40 hour game right now...

Re: Bully: Scholarship Edition (Wii & 360: March 4th)

If I remember correctly, it took me about 25 or so hours to do everything. I would bet you could stick to the main story and finish up around 10 to 12 hours.

Is it worth doing the side quests? Do you get good stuff from them? Achievements?
