Yea, achievements mainly. Some give money (lawn mowing, paper routes, etc), the classes give you certain upgrades (a few make the different collectibles show up on your map, for example), etc.

A lot of the achievements are of the "do this activity X number of time" and a bunch of them aren't really achievable throughout the course of normally playing the game unless you are spamming it on purpose. I'm looking at you, "Travel 100 km on the bike.".

I am clearing thru some old games and started this last night. I am only around 3 hours in but it is not grabbing me for some reason. The reviews for this were solid as I remember and I tend to like open world games but everything is coming across a little tedious so far. Most of the humor is cute but not GTA laugh out loud funny.

My question is...does it get better? I have read that this is a 30 hour game and I am only 3 hours in but I was curious if it stays about the same or if it picks up the further you get into it.

I think it got better, IIRC. Eventually you "pass" the classes and can spend more time outside the school.
