I just hope he doesn't make it look like America McGee's Alice. Really, I think this should be a Gilliam film, not Burton.

Given Burton's track record lately, I'll give it a shot.

Normally, I'd agree with this, but with Gilliam's track record, we'd have to wait another decade or two to see the movie.

Burton would make for a wonderful vision on that story.

The rumors that I heard said that he originally wanted Brian Warner to play the Q of Hearts (10 points to the first person who knows who that is) but then for undisclosed reasons was gearing towards Depp.

If Hollywood keeps it up with the remakes, there will be no need for the writers to come back from being on strike! Sure would be nice if they could come up with something original. A new idea or something.

This heads straight to my "must miss" list. Cannot stand Burton's vision. The only movie I have liked of his is "Ed Wood" and I thought Batman was OK.

Cool. It will probably be competing with Marilyn Manson's Alice in Wonderland movie.

It'll make a cool boxed set. I think this could be a fun movie, it sounds better than the previously mentioned Manson version.

I'd like to bring up a something that recently struck me. Burton has 2 distinct stylistic periods. Pre Ed Wood and Post Wood. Ed Wood stands on it's own as an anomaly. But all those films in those periods look the same.

My guess is this'll be more Charlie and the Chocolate Factory than Betelgeuse. So I wouldn't expect it to be dark.

Sounds like something that could definitely be made cooler with a Burtonesque touch.

Both ALICE IN WONDERLAND and FRANKENWEENIE will be shot in 3-D (Digital 3D release, though I suppose IMAX 3D may also happen); being two of the more than two dozen stereoscopic projects in the works.
