Suggestion-Can we make one sticky "need help identifying this song" thread?

i see lots of people asking for help indentifying a song which is totally cool and useful as it's sometimes hard to ID it and a user here may know exactly what song it is, but there are too many threads! Can we maybe make one stick thread for all of these types of requests? I don't know if there's more reasons for or against this but I wanted to mention it and see what the opinions of everyone are. If this wasn't the place to post it mods, please move accordingly.

I like that idea a lot. The only minor drawback would be if two people ask at the same time for two different songs, everyone would have a hard time understanding the random responses. The person asking the question would have double the songs to decipher, and it would be hard for contributors to see other suggestions that were incorrect and "build" off of them in trying to help the person asking the question.

I don't think this forum is too busy, or that those threads are plentiful enough, to worry about it.

Probably not something I would ever check if it were a sticky.

I agree with both Numanoid and cdollaz. I don't think I've ever seen more than one on the front page, and it's pretty rare there is more than one on the first two pages.

As my "avatar" indicates, I've no problem with fellow DVDTalkers asking reasonable questions - which this was - and, even though it should be in Feedback, I'm not going to move this one because:
  • although I am one for consolidating threads both here and in Book Talk, for the reasons cited above, a long time ago I decided not to do that with this kind thread, and
  • as the question is now asked and answered I can simply close the thread and be done with it.
