Well, I would watch the first X-Men movie, then the second X-Men movie (X2), and then the third X-Men movie (X3). It's uh, not very complicated.

^^The complication I see comes from Fox stupidly saying 1.5 when that makes it sound like there is a part 1 out there and 1.5 is a different or in between film.
Yes, 1.5 is the first film. It was just a stupid name for the re-release DVD that came out for the first film.
from that you go in order. 1.5, 2, 3.

1.5 still has the same theatrical version of the movie, though. There are more extras, and deleted scenes are accessed during the movie, but it's not like there's a director's cut within or anything.

But remember folks. the order to see Spider-man is Spider-man, Spider-man 2, Spider-man 2.1 Spider-man 3
The order to see Star Wars is 3, 4, 5 and then forget the rest.

But then you don't get to see the Falcon fly thorugh the Death Star II and blow it sky-high. Ooh! and the sail barge fight! And the lightsaber thrashing of Luke on Vader with the cool chorus singing in the background! And Ackbar's little smile once the gigantic Star Destroyer starts crashing! There's too much gold in 6 to ignore it out-right.

Yeah, I don't think anyone was thinking of anything but the theatrical films. The X-Men Evolution stuff was just a cartoon created in the wake of the first film, and is not connected in any way to the films. Kind of like Batman: The Animated Series and the Batman theatricals (except that X:E was nowhere near as good).

Watch the second half of part three, then the first part of part one, then the second part of part two, then the first part of part three, then the second part of part one.
Trust me, it's worth it to watch it that way.

Also, if you watch all of the end credits for each movie back to back to back first, it really pays off when Wolverine does that thing to the other guy. Oh man, I couldn't sleep for a week!
