Actually, I'm very glad I didn't hold off on buying this. For about $12 I've been able to enjoy this movie on DVD since 1997.

I'll also be happy to buy the special set celebrating the 20th Anniversary since this movie is worth the double-dip!

By the way, if a special addition can't be released on the same day as the regular version, this is the way it should be released (with years between versions). None of that "buy the regular version and then see a special edition released within a couple of months" crap. That blows.

I've also been waiting a long time for this, and it looks like I'll be waiting a while longer (if it finally does happen). Still, good news, and I hope the delay means it'll be on HD formats as well.

If the HD forum gets closed down before 2008, you may be okay.

Man, this has been in the works forever! I sold my 1st release of this YEARS ago based on rumors of an SE. I sold it for a good price (esp. since I got it from WB free back in the day) but have been waiting for the SE. At this stage, I'll believe it when I see it!

I hope they have his fight with Hank The Angry Drunken Dwarf on there! And when he was campaigning for Howard.

I hope the delay was from editing together about 30 different Burton commentaries into one decent one.

this is a great movie and one of the few favorites of mine i have not picked up on dvd yet, i will wait till 08.
its on so much i bet ill see it on tv 10/20 times before the release.

This is excellent news. This is one of the top 5 DVD's that I have been waiting for a special edition for.

Oh well, what's 1 more year to wait. Good news at least!
