I would be more than happy to buy this on blu-ray, but speaking of Warner Bros I am still wondering where's the new LA confidential release.

Man, this is the second time that a thread that has been gone for a while has popped back up and it's nothing but people asking about the status of it. STOP IT!

Here it is folks- the most unspecial special edition since Poltergeist, courtesy of DVD Times:
"Warner Home Video have announced the Region 1 DVD release of Beetlejuice (20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) on 16th September 2008 priced at $19.96 SRP. The colourful, wildly imaginative family adventure from Tim Burton starring Michael Keaton, Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis and Winona Ryder returns to DVD, newly remastered and packaged in a lenticular o-sleeve. Extras are somewhat limited however with only three Beetlejuice cartoons from the TV series which was produced by Burton and David Geffen.
Beetlejuice Cartoon Episodes:
* A-Ha
* Skeletons In The Closet
* Spooky Boo-tique"

Guys, the DVD isn't being released until September and right now, it's only May.
I wouldn't be surprised if more bonus features were added in between now and then, such as the features from the original DVD (one can hope, because that 5.1 music only track was pretty damn awesome).
