If this is true, it shouldnt be too big of a surprise. EGM and other news sources have been hinting of MG coming to the 360 for quite some time now.

I've also been listening to the 1up podcasts and it's true they've been hinting at MGS 4 for the 360.

MGS 2 came out on the original Xbox, and Hideo Kojima has already said he could do MGS 4 on the 360. If it does end up being true, then all Sony has left is FFXIII, and after that even Squenix is going system neutral. So if MGS 4 on the 360 really happens, I'll probably never have to buy a PS3.

If this is true, it's yet another coup for Microsoft. Sony's only real marquee franchise that is exclusive is Final Fantasy.

Yep. Capcom sold a buttload of copies of Dead Rising. Wasn't it the fastest selling game until Gears of War came out? I thought I read on IGN or Gamespot that it sold half a million copies in two weeks.

And Capcom has Lost Planet coming out next month, and it is just as highly anticipated as Dead Rising was. If Lost Planet also sells a buttload, I am sure they will want to bring more games to the 360. Could Devil May Cry 4 be the next game to lose exclusivity?

Yes, MGS 2 did come out on the xbox. And it was a crappy port that came out late, long after Sony's version and come and gone and it sold very poorly by comparison.

Yes, if this happens, it's a coup for MS, at least in the US, but if it comes out long after the PS3 version and after all the plot point spoiler become common knowledge, it wouldn't be as big a deal as many might think. (Sort of like the GTA games that were technically better on the Xbox; can anyone show a comparison of games sold on the two systems? I'd bet it's 10:1 for the PS2). Yes, more people own PS2s, but just as important is the newness of a game. A late arrival for the same game on a different system can really limit sales.

It's simple economics... unless Sony pays them booku dinero to keep it an exclusive, Konami is going to force Koijima to port it to 360.

It is simple Ms4 will arrive on the 360 cause konami needs the sales , ps3 only 400,000 to 700,000 software may be sold , xbox 360 more then 3 million possibilties. Winner 360. Yeah. From the last report I read a month or so ago, the 360 has already sold 7-8 million.

I have never heard Kojima say that he only makes a game if it will be exclusive because he doesn't want to water it down for the lowest denominator. That really doesn't make sense, because last gen the PS2 WAS the lowest denominator.

Saw this on Digg yesterday, it seemed like the guy put the story up just to get traffic to his site. As for MGS 4 coming to the 360 only time will tell.
