Xbox360 remote

Does the Premium $399 system that comes with the HDD and wireless controller also include the media remote?

I see it on the official Xbox site and some online retailers but I thought it was only sold separately. It's on the official site when you follow the link for "Which Console for You" where they compare the Pro with the Core.

Newegg.com shows a pic of the remote with the Premium system but it's just 1 pic from the back.

I believe the remote was a temporary accessory during launch.

They packed in a smaller verison of the media remote for launch systems only. It will not include one if purchased now.

Thanks. I can see in the pic that it's smaller than the one sold separately. I ordered the Pro $399 console online but just wasn't sure if it would be included.

FWIW, if you have a decent universal remote, you don't need the 360 remote...

My Xbox 360 plays DVDs back stretched vertically so I can't use it as a player anyway.

Can't you configure that (either on the 360 or the aspect ratio of your TV)?

If you need one, let me know.
I got an unopened one I don't need (since I already had one) that came with my HD-DVD drive.

Yeah, I have the small and large remotes I don't need either.

This was a big bonus for me on getting the HD Drive. A $30 remote plus a $20 HD disc (King Kong) actually made the player only cost $150. I actually had the remote in my hand until I saw it was included on the HD box.
