Family Video on Ebay

Came across their seller ID recently.
It is...familyvideoshop.
They only list about 40-60 titles at a time,
and they are a mix of FS & WS. A lot of
$4.99 & $5.99 single disc versions of recent
releases, with others going as high as $14.99.
The discs are always pristine & unscratched
and takes about a week to get them. And the
shipping is the usual .99 for the entire order.
To give an example, I recently got the single
disc WS version of V For Vendetta for $4.99
& the WS version of X Men:The Last Stand for
$5.99.
Pretty good prices if you don't care about all
the special features.

hmm, new member + lots of exclamation points = unauthorized forum advertising???

edit: probably not judging from other posts, but it sure looks suspicious.

No I am not forum advertising. I was just trying to
contribute & pass on what I thought was a pretty
good find.
Didn't mean to step on anyone's toes, & I'm sorry
about the exclamation points.

But who would want just a single disc from a 2 disc set?

I mean 4.99 is nice and cheap, but if i like a movie enough to OWN it- I'd kinda like that second DVD as well.

No, it sounds like these are former rentals withdrawn from that part of their operation as their popularity fades and moved to the sales section while the titles are still considered "fresh".

Though we tend to frown upon eBay type sales, legitimate companies who have stores on eBay usually are okay. I picked up two titles just now. I'll report back on condition/etc for others who may not want to risk it, but based on their store side experience, I think it will probably be okay..

Damn, the selection right now is total crap. Other than that though this is a nice find and I'll probably check back later.
