Xbox 360 wireless headset: Found a couple good deals.
I was just looking for one for myself and thought I would pass this along to you.
It retails for 59.99 at places like eb, gamestop, ect
I found:
1. Amazon 49.99 with free shipping
http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-Wirel...8&s=videogames
2. Computers4Sure 47.95 with free shipping IF you spend 50.00 or more, however I do alot of business with them, most of thier games are 5 less than retail, and thier accessories are usually about 10 dollars less. I also always get VERY fast shipping with them (even with free shipping)

Enjoy!

i got this last week. i've been witing for it since the 360 came out. That being said, i'm very disappointed with it. It has the strangest design ever for a wireless headset and is very uncomfortable after about an hour of use since you literally HANG it on your ear (it comes with 2 earloops one marked S and one marked M, if I could find a L, maybe it would help??), it's not like a jabra or the old logitech one. Also mine seems to cut out here and there for a few seconds and it's really anooying. It also doest have the range of the controller. I used to be able to go into my kitchen with the wireless controller/wired headset and keep talking. You can't just put the controller down and go the same distance with this thing for some reason, it completely cuts off when I go intot he kitchen now. I've also had a few sessions with a terrible echo. I'm still going to use it, but I have to keep my wired one near in case I start getting the echo/cutoff problems, so it's kind of annoying. The old logitech one for the reg. xbox was 10x better.

Dang! I didnt know that. All the reviews I have seen were VERY positive. Does Logitech make a 360 one?

where did they review this, im curious as to what they said about it? I have a couple people on my friends list with it and they have ALL said it's uncomfortable (it really is). i mean it does the job i guess--and I'm not going to return it, but it could be a lot better.

I had a feeling I was better off waiting for comments from people who owned these. I REALLY wanted one but it just looked painful and I was worried about the audio quality. I think I'll stick with my wired one for a bit longer I guess.

I think there's a video review of the headset on cheapassgamer.com page. The reviewer said it's ok but nothing special and that the range is short. In other words, "You can't go to the bathroom with it".
I guess there's an issue with background noise and that other than being wireless there's no real improvement over the original headset in terms of the audio.

I've posted my opinions on another forum, but I'll comment here too. In short, don't buy this yet. I think M$ would be smart to get off their asses and get a firmware upgrade out pronto. I was really looking forward to this headset. I had the Logitech wireless for the original xbox and it was awesome. I had high hopes, but am completely disappointed and will be returning this to Best Buy a second time, this time for good.
As mentioned already, the headset starts to hurt your ear after about an hour because the small rubber-ish loop is awkward and a little too small. An L as opposed to the S and M available would probably help. The voice quality and loudness are really good, but the mic picks up everything in the room, so I had to turn down my audio system because it was being picked up by the mic. Lastly, and probably my worst gripe, the headset is constantly dropping the signal. It cuts out for seconds, sometimes minutes at a time. There is no rhyme or reason to it. I'll be talking and all of a sudden it drops the signal. I thought it was because I was playing Halo 2 nd there could be issues with emulators or compatibility, but no dice. I played COD3 and GoW last night and it happened all night. I think a firmware update could fix this issue. I'm really disappointed with the problems I've had, so I'm going to Best Buy on lunch. Maybe I'll try the Motorola NFL headset. Sure it's big and ugly, but you won't see me, so what do I care?
