Amazon is selling 24 season 5 preorder (released on December 5, 2006) for $36.97 with free shipping. DDD's price is $43.91 now, and as it's a preorder, it won't qualify for the 20% sale coming this month. So I guess it's worth a shot? You may get it lower if you hold till the '07 DDD sale though.

Thanks for the heads up. I agree it's a great price and I just placed my order. What is up with amazon, this is my 2nd order in two weeks. I like their 50% off MSRP sales. I wonder if DDD is loosing pre-sales because they are so high.

For me, it's only like $0.50 cheaper because of the tax. And also I need to wait for at least 8 weeks for the rebate check, assuming it would go through eventually. The $0.50 saving is just not worthy.
