POSEIDON question?

I know that the HD-DVD version of POSEIDON contains the longer, Director's-Cut of the Wolfgang Petersen film, but as a combo disc, does the flip side (standard-def version) contain that cut as well? I only ask as my Dad is thinking of eventually going into HD discs and if the standard-def side has the longer cut of the film as well, this would be his first HD purchase. Thanks in advance...

No, it contains the standard theatrical release so when purchasing the HD version your actually getting both cuts of the film.
