Buena Vista TV Rebate Offer: Housewives S2, Lost S2, Grey's Anatomy S2, etc.

I just opened my Desperate Housewives: Season 2 set and found a rebate offer. Buy any combination of Deserate Housewives: S2, Lost: S2, Grey's Anatomy: S2, or Commander in Chief: Part 2 and receive:

$10 on two
$20 on three
$30 on all four

Even better, no UPC codes to cut or forms to mail in. You get a 16-letter/number code to enter in a website and you submit when you're ready.

(I'm not sure if it matters, but I got my copy at Best Buy.)

A relatively quick expiration date: offer valid from August 29, 2006, through October 31, 2006. But as I already planned on picking up Lost and Gray's Anatomy on their separate release dates, this is an unexpected perk.

$30 on all four? That includes your current purchase of DH, S2?

I purchased mine at Wal*Mart, in order to get the bonus disc. Luckily, they price matched the Target price of $35.99 (as Wal*Mart's price was $47.97). My set also included the Rebate Offer. This is great, because I am also picking up Grey's Anatomy: The Complete Second Season.

I went with Target to get the $5 gift card. It paid for today's Venti Banana Coconut Frappucino at the in-store Starbucks. I guess I'll do the same with Lost next week.

Last year, there was a rebate for DH and Lost that was particular to certain stores - glad to see its a widespread rebate this year, as I'll prob pick up Lost S2 at BB and Greys Anatomy S2

How long is the rebate good for?

I don't know how high this would rate on the bad karma scale, but i'm debating running to Blockbuster to get the codes for the sets i don't have. Probably won't do it, but it's just a thought that came to mind.

I can't imagine that the codes would be available at Blockbuster. I'm sure that Buena Vista would not send the codes with the sets meant for rentals. The codes are on a piece of paper that was inserted into the pocket of the set.

Let us know if you have any luck.

Im guessing that they were smart enough to make unique codes, so it wouldn't work unless you were the first one to get there.

Nice deal. Preordered DH2, GA2 and Lost 2 several months ago @ fye.com when they had a 10% off with free shipping coupon. So AR and $20 cashback on the 3 sets they will come out to a few cents over $20 each!

Just make sure you get sets with the stickers on the front regarding the rebate, because the papers talk about "specially marked" sets. So if it doesn't have the sticker it probably won't have the codes.

Doh!!! I just ordered 3 of these from Overstock (cheapest online price BEFORE the 12% discount that expires TODAY) thinking I was getting them for a steal after the rebate. Hopefully mine will come with this.........not sure I would have pulled the trigger yet if I knew there was a chance that they might not include this...........

Just buy them at a B&M store and return the ones from overstock to the store if you are unsure.

They probably figure everyone's getting Lost and Grey's, so they offer $10 carrots to pick up each of the other two.

That kinda reminds me of when Nintendo had an offer to get a FREE Zelda compilation disc for the GameCube. They had inserts with uniques PINs and you'd go online to register them (as if you purchased them). You needed 3 PINs to get the disc shipped to you. My local BB would just leave the inserts in the display cases and -- you can figure out the rest.

Well, that was a single disc case and I'm not sure how this would work on a TV on DVD boxset.

The rebate website is http://www.tvondvdoffer.com
All the details are there.

BTW: I bought Desperate Housewives Season 2 from overstock and it came with the rebate offer.

I just tried to enter codes from the inserts in my Desperate Housewives and Commander in Chief purchases. Housewives was accepted, but I'm told the Commander code is invalid. The code I'm entering is exactly what's on the insert. Now what do I do? It shouldn't be this hard.

Try swapping the zero's with O's or vice versa?
