I feel like an old man. I remember when he had black hair, and was married to his bassist (Sandy something).

Must've been pretty cool for the audience.

me too, wow - I feel completely out of the loop on Garth, one of the very few Country singers I actually like.

it was NOT at her concert

The occasion was the "Legends in Bronze" event at Buck Owens' Crystal Palace, where 10 larger-than-life bronze statues honoring country stars were unveiled, including one of Brooks.

According to the story this will be his second marriage, and if memory serves, his first wasn't his bassist. I could be wrong, though. I sometimes am.

I remember when they were just "friends". Of course, this was during his split and eventual divorce from his wife.

Now they BOTH need to come out with some new material (even though he is "retired").

Actually, his sister, not his first wife, was his bassist.

Well, he is singing backup on one of the tracks on Trisha's new album. We'll have to settle for that until his kids get a little older, I'm afraid. His ex-wife lives across the street and he spends a bunch of time with the kids.

I give the guy credit for taking of the damned hat for an important moment like that. Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw got married wearing those dumb things. We know you're bald, show some class and take off the hat when you get down on your knee, walk down the aisle, and pose for your wedding photos.
