Movie poster prints question

Thanks to another thread, I discovered the site art.com, and looking around it, really liked the 11" x 17" movie poster reprints. They seem a good size if you're going to have a bunch hanging up and it'd be cheaper to frame them, not to mention they're cheaper for being smaller. I just have a few questions on them, if anyones purchased these before: Are they printed on paper or more of a card stock; Is there a cheaper site, and/or one with more selections; and are they really good alternatives to the real thing? Thanks much for any thoughts!

i have a few. THe ones I have bought are on a card stock, and come inside a hard plastic sleeve...almost like a giant baseball card. These should run between 4-10 bucks most everywhere

I thought about that, but wasn't sure if it'd be left there or not, as technically it's not about a movie.. Perhaps if a moderator could shift this over to the Movie forum..?

In the meantime, I'm going to check out Move Poster Talk. Thanks!

I just got an 11x17 poster from them & it was on heavy stock paper & came rolled in a huge tube.

I was hoping for the cardstock, big baseball card type poster.

The card stock would be more what I'd want also. I was going to sign up to post at that movie posters board, but they want home address and everything, and maybe I'm being paranoid, but I don't think a message board really needs that info.

There used to be a poster-type store in the mall near me, but it's gone now unfortunately. If I were still in PA, I know there was a shop on South Street in Philly too.

Well there's this one, but don't know if it's the one you want. I know I want it, buy me one too.

They have some pretty cool King Kong posters also, like this one:
