Who's getting the Deadwood DVD in a few weeks?

I'm saving up now for the Deadwood release in a few weeks I don't have HBO so I didn't see any of the episodes on cable, so this will be a blind buy. I'll be watching it for the first time.

There is a free episode of Deadwood bundled with Curb Your Enthusiasm's third season. They should do things like that more often. Gonna check it soon. Heard great things about it.

I am definitely buying Deadwood. I know the reviews are pretty much on the ends of the spectrum, but I thought the series was absolutely amazing.

Depends on release prices. At some point I'll own it, though

I'm passing on Deadwood for now. I've got three HBO series I'm currently buying (Six Feet Under, OZ, Carnival) and given their high price, that's about all I can handle.

Of some interest to me, but it would be a blind buy. I'd definitely get it if it were a bit cheaper, though. I think I'll wait for a good deal on it.

I'm passing on this one ..... keeping up with Sopranos and Six Feet Under, and will get Entourage if/when it shows up.

I would, but am catching HBO's re-airing of the episodes.

Is this on a separate disc?
I just got my Curb season 3 from Amazon today, and I didn't get a Deadwood sampler. Was this only at certain stores??

This must be on a seperate disc, but I bought Curb S3 at Best Buy on release day and didn't see anything about a Deadwood extra disc.

Probably a rental for me - definitely interested in seeing it, though.

My Curb came from Amazon, and it had the free Deadwood disc attached. I received mine last week.

It's a must buy for me, especially if there are decent extras.

I would buy it but HBO seasons are just too pricey. Maybe next DDD sale. That's what I did for The Wire.

I got mine from Amazon, and the Deadwood Episode 1 DVD was shrinkwrapped to the outside of the CYE box, visibnle from the outside.

Gonne netflix it. I'm not as rich as most here so blind buying a TV box set is just ridiculous to me.

For those that are jumping into Deadwood for the first time: I absolutely love the show and it's characters, but it is very slow (though never boring) - just be prepaired for that and you'll be fine.

Same here, depends on release price. Without a doubt I will get, just a question of when.

I don't buy HBO Hour Series. I love Six Feet Under & Carnival but MSRP for $99.99 is just to high for only 12 episodes.

Agreed, only I dont think its slow at all. I guess after watching Carnivale and thinking that pace is perfect, everthing else seems fast.

And Ill defentaley get this ASAP... when I find it for $44.99

Itis a little pricey, but I got Sopranos season 1 used for $25, and season 2 & 3 I got at Costco for $60 each. And the problem is that since it is HBO they don't get paid for commercials, like 24 or countless other TV shows. TV shows on DVD that are from, lets say Fox or ABC, get paid for airing commercials so they can afford to sell there sets a little cheaper.
