NHL 94 (or maybe it was 93): the reason why my grades in college were less than spectacular (well, one of the reasons).

Best. Sports Game. Ever.

I owned lots of games for the genesis, and I rented a lot more than I owned, but the only game I really remember is NHL '94. It was 2D sports perfection.

I spent countless hours on Madden 96, but as far as non-sports games go, I would have to say Shadowrun.

Herzog Zwei baby! Man, why didn't we ever get a sequel or anything to that...

Also enjoyed Warsong immensely... it's still the only game from the Langrisser series to come over here.

I could never afford Phantasy Star IV, but I did love Phantasy Star II and (to a lesser extent) PS III. Amazing that they put both (plus PSI) on one GBA cart. Sega, where's my GBA Phantasy Star IV, and when are we going to get a V, instead of all this online nonsense?
