does SOCOM II come with the headset or is that separate?

Never did. The original SOCOM came with a really crappy headset, which was elimated when it becase a GH title. SOCOM 2 shipped headset-free and was the first SCEA title to be $50 at launch since they revised their pricing a couple of years ago.

BTW ATV Offroad Fury 2 finally also becomes a GH title.

And if there are any fence sitters left, let me say this : Buy Ratchet & Clank 2. It's a truly great game and wil be well worth the price.

Honestly, none of those games really "grabbed" me. Jak II was just kinda ehhh....great concepts for sure but they were really underdeveloped. R&C was fun for the first hour but became dreadfully mundane. And Socom is just an above-average Counterstrike game. Granted, it's a good game...but I have counterstrike on my PC.

When are the stores going to start doing this. I notice Bestbuy.com and Circuitcity.com still have it listed at $39

The price drop was supposed to happen today (9/7), according to CC's weekly ad (which you can view online). I'm surprised that CC hasn't updated their website price -- given that they just overhauled the site's appearance today, it might be a programming glitch. The GH cover art is showing up next to a $39 price at the moment.

Best Buy usually take a few more days to drop the prices on new GH titles. I'm waiting to use a Gamer's Gift Card at BB for both Jak II & R&C: GC.
