Thanks to all of the helpful posts on this forum about portable DVD players, I decided to order a Mintek 1770 from Amazon.com. I received it yesterday and so far i'm very happy with it. However, this is my first portable DVD player and it seems as if the humming noise it makes when playing a disc is louder than it should be. Also, it makes a loud screeching noise when I load a disc in the player. Are these noises normal or is my player defective? Thanks to anyone that can help me out.
