Zenith DVB413 problem

Zenith DVB413 problem
Just got this player a month or two ago. If I pop in a 20th Century Fox DVD, I get the following message: "This disc is not formatted to play in this region." (I checked, all the DVD's I've tried to play are region one, as is the player)
Only happens with 20th Century Fox DVD's, no others. Called the service peeps and they want me to ship the player back to them, they think it's a software update that's needed. Any one else have this problem, or know of any solutions I might try on my own?

ETA: All the DVD's play just fine on my brothers older Zenith player.
